Why do you think Peter was so emphatic and yet so wrong about denying Jesus? I think Peter was so emphatic because he did love and admire Jesus and really wanted to die with Him, but when he had to answer if he had known Jesus, Peter was so afraid that he denied his Lord. This was a wrong behaviour and he repented after realizing what had done.

Since it was necessary for Jesus to be crucified, why was it still wrong for Judas to betray Him? It was still wrong for Judas to betray Jesus because Judas was His disciple so I think he loved his Lord and it was a great pain for Jesus that Judas betrayed Him for 30 pieces of silver.
