Cultural Setting/Daily Life
It is quite clear that Jesus had humble beginnings.  The "home" setting is that of today's extended family - one plot of land shared by all - everyone living together loving and caring for each other. Also, women are no longer seen as homemakers but persons who run and effectively contributes to the well-being of the family. Family Structures then showed men as leaders in every right as opposed to modern times where women are "taking over the world". Quite frankly, Jesus, lives really teaches us to be humble and appreciative of "little".

Matthew 9:27-34 Why is faith so important when we ask Jesus to do something for us?

Faith is important because we as humans expect quick fixes. So when we ask Jesus to do something for us we expect an answer right away.

Faith helps to know that the help and answer is coming even when we do not see it or get it at once
