227 entries for this category: What did Jesus state as the primary purpose of the temple, and how might this apply to today? Jesus stated that the primary purpose of the temple was for prayer. Prayer is needed now more than ever, when we hear and see what is happening world-wide only prayers can calm, heal and carry us through these difficult experiences. We need to get in faithful communion with God. We need Jesus to be in us, around us, over us, to guide, protect, heal and help us , our families, neighbours, friends. Prayer is the means by which we communicate with Him and if we don't have a personal relationship with Him we will be in a state of hopelessness. Some churches or temples are now being used like in Jesus' time to batter and make money. The Churches and Temples are no longer sacred, anything and everything is done in and to them now. Wealth is now upper most in most persons mind, what they want and must have. They forget about our Lord, He is being robbed of His supreme importance in our lives as many of us focus on what is temporal and not on what is eternal. No time for prayer, no time for service not even time for a few passing moments to hurriedly say a few words or a sort of prayer because what is really on minds of persons is the world and what they are going to achieve.

How does Jesus link intimacy to him with obedience to him?" a "New" commandment? intimacy is a very close bond now if you are sharing such a bond someone you're obedient to the person and you'll do as the person ask of you
