Do you think any particular secret you have would surprise Jesus?
No! There is no secret that can be hidden from Jesus.  He searches and knows the heart and the mind.  When we are hiding things from man they cannot be hidden from Jesus, He is all knowing therefore none of our secrets would surprise Him. That is why it is so important for us to we ask for His forgiveness daily so that when we accidentally do something secretive that is not pleasing to Him, when our light is dim, He will forgive us and help us to shine brilliantly for Him. I depend on Him to be with me daily, to order my steps, to never leave me or forsake me and if there is any particular secret I am trying to withhold from Him, He would definately know and would not be surprised, He would rather be ashamed and disappointed more than surprised if it is something bad.

With whom does Jesus feel a stronger relationship than even his blood relationships (family)?
Jesus felt a stronger relationship with those who not only heard the word but who also did it. There were persons who were so committed to listening, learning and following Jesus' words because they believed Him and wanted what He was offering.  His family wanted to see him at this particular time because they feared He was over-working and not taking the time to eat  and get some rest, not caring for Himself.  He respected His family but the stronger bond was with the persons who were lost and in need of something greater than physical gratification, who needed a Saviour, a deliverer, to be spiritually quenched and refreshed and set free, persons who were willing to give up all to follow Him and accept what He was offering.

What does Jesus try to teach his disciples by going with them through the storm?
Jesus is trying to teach His disciples that whatever things they go through in this life whether good or bad, in this case a storm, once their faith is route and grounded and God is in control of their life they should never be doubtful or afraid.  Imagine the disciples were with Jesus daily, they saw all He did, He was right there with them in the boat and He had to rebuke the winds and the rains to calm there nerves and they were still wondering what manner of man is He.  Faith is a very powerful tool which Jesus teaches and that is what He was trying to instill in His disciples, to be fearless and unafraid, He was preparing them for greater things that they will have to do with perseverance and suffering when He returns to His Father and they are left to continue His ministry.
