The Roman governor, Pilate, found that Jesus had done nothing wrong. Yet, he authorized Jesus` crucifixion to please the crowd. Can you explain why people put popularity above doing what is right?

People in general like to be part of the in crowd, No one wants to be different or to be separated from what the popular crowd is doing, because of the fear of being ridiculed or rejected.

However Christians ought to be different from the rest. We should be proud to be Christians, and not to be afraid to be noticed for it. Jesus showed us this by HIs example, when He was not afraid in front of the Pharisees and Scribes. We ought to follow by HIs example

In anticipation of what is ahead, Jesus experiences intense emotions, described as trouble, distress and exceeding sorrow. What final decision does Jesus make here in discussion with his "Abba Father" (daddy)?
He decides to take the cup and suffer for our sins. We should be thankful for this decision and try to live according to his will every day

Why does Jesus encourage focusing on the daily task at hand and discourage predicting the future?
Because no one really knows what the future brings. We need to concentrate on the present, living and working for the Lord and leave the future in his hands
