227 entries for this category: This is called a new commandment because it asks us to love another as we love ourselves and if we do this it fulfills the ten commandments. If we follow this commandments we will automatically follow the ten commandments, therefore it can be called a new commandment. The Kingdom is one in which all the fruits of the Spirit is being fulfilled. Love, Joy, Peace, Longsuffering, etc, all exits there. There are no illnesses, no sadness, and most of all no sin. The Kingdom of God is God. One in which everything we need is fulfilled. Total fulfillment. It means the sacrifice of His only begotten Son, Jesus. It means he loves us just as we are. We do not have to do anything to earn it. He just loves us, that is just the way the Father is. Having this love inside us, wil enable us to love the people we find very hard to love. He puts His love in us, and loves through us. That is how God loves us. Why does Jesus call "Love One Another" a "New" commandment?
