Jesus believed lowly people are valuable, because he is always teaching us to be humble and to respect the poor.

For example, when the rich young man came to Jesus, he told Jesus thathe kept all the commandments, and asked what he lacked. Jesus told him to sell what he had and give it to the poor.He  found it very hard to do.

Jesus commented on this and said, "Again I say unto you it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God"

Therefore we are to respect all persons, treat everyone well and serve them as Jesus would
