What did Mary understand about who was in her womb before the birth of Jesus?

That she is carrying the Almighy in her womb and that her humility and staedfast faith has been already rewarded enstrusted with such Precious Bundle . She knwos that evrything is possible to the Lord. She feels stronger feeling so entrusted. God will not forsaken her and she knows that for a number of years she will feed that strenght to the growing human Baby ..passing on like with the amniotic liquid and tehn the milk and then gradually more and more solid food the awareness that He is the Son of God. He knwos when he finds his way to the temple and surprsises the Pharisees with his knowlwedge. Just a kid!?. But it will be her who will send him forth officially at the Canaa wedding. Another miracle for her as she had already been the recipient of that mystic union and Immaculate Conception.

Jesus took three of his disciples to the top of a mountain to experience dead prophets now alive, and a voice from a cloud saying, "This is my beloved Son, listen to him." If you were one of the disciples, what impact would this experience have on you?

as far as I know, this was the second time this word has been uttered,the first one during jesus baptism. i may be doing like peter did.I may be fall down at the feet of Jesus,given my previous life before accepting Jesus christ as my Lord and savior.i would be like that old man in the temple beating his chest for all the wrong things that I had done.

Jesus was commited to sacrifice his own life. What did he mean by the statement, "For who ever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake and the gospel will save it"?

Its the sacrifice of our physical well being for the love of another so that as we are not treasuring our earthly riches, also in terms of our own selfsatisfaction, we gain eternal life. Prdon, Life.If you hold on to the first you lose your Life because you ..or you delay the enjoyment of that because you fail to obey the Commandments of Love in one way or another.
