What is "the Christ"? How is it different than one of the prophets?

He is the anointed the sacrificial victim, prepared prior the sacrificial ceremony, and not only the high priest offering the sacrifice in waiting for that Redemption that Jesus is about to bring with the sacrifice of his very physical life.Like in the Jordan he was washed made physically clean foreshadowing the spiritual cleansiness that will come with the washing of ours sins in His Most Precious Blood

Why do you think Jesus brought the man outside the village before performing the miracle?

Because he does not want to put on a show like a false prophet would do. Those who truly seek shall find him and they will watch closely and will see that its no trick but true healing and to them the task to spread the word. from trusted friend to trusted friend. In contrast with the miracle of the bread and fish where there is a huge congregation of people. But that is the foreshadowing of the Eucahrist where all partake. Here it is also like the confession. It is a private healing encounter with the single soul.

Healing and multiplying food did not convice the religious leaders. What sign would have convinced you of Jesus as God?

The manner in which he came to the world......being born of a virgin, his understanding of life, teachings, miracles, healings, and prediction of his death would have been a fair and enough proof/signs to me that indeed he, Jesus is God!!!
