Jesus became very popular. People came to see Him from all over for all kinds of reasons. Can you list some reasons why the crowds could be following Him?

Everyone keeps on following Jesus because they were believers, because of so many miracles of Jesus. And by just merely being near to him, the holy spirit reigns in them and thier sickness physically and spiritually were healed!! Jesus is the great healer and He proved so much that he is the Son of God!

They believe he is the one, the messiah (GOD) sent from above... who can healed sick, cast away all the demons... Because of the faith they healed, the blind can see, the demon are cast away...

Why did Jesus´ penalty for "sin" need to include physical and emotional pain - why not just spiritual separation from God?

as humans, we will not fully comprehend the pain of spiritual separation from God. but with physical and emotional pain, we can empathize and feel it, so since Jesus was to be the showcase and living example of God's love for us, he had to take on the human form and endure human physical and emotional frailties like the rest of mankind. In this way, all of mankind will be able to easily sympathize, empathize and identify with the suffering Jesus was undergoing.
