"Was Jesus trying to incite his death (eg. temple cleansing, accusation of leaders?) No. But in His own subtle way, He was preparing everyone for the imminent death. This death could not be explained away before it happens. People and the disciples close to him and loved ones has to witness the torture and His sacrifice to fully understand what it was all about. He was brave and like any human had his moments of fear, but He stood firm because He knew that this is what the Father has sent Him to do.

"Was Jesus trying to incite his death (eg. temple cleansing, accusation of leaders?) no, He was just doing the task Our Father assigned to Him. And like an obedient son to a father He did it without hesitation and doubt. He fulfilled His mission to take away our sins and He only ask one thing in return from us, to turn away from our sins and turn to God.
