Why did Jesus seem to discourage the Scribe and the disciple from following Him? Didn`t He want these two to join Him?

Because Jesus knew that he had to fulfill the New Testament. He had to bear our sins at the cross for our salvation and eternal life.

If you had a one-on-one meal with Jesus, what would you discuss?

If I had a one-on- one with Jesus my Lord, my saviour I would discuss to Him to teach me more how to love Him and others. How to be more patient to wait for my unanswered prayer, and to have more faith, to talk more about His kingdom and to learn more to be humble that whatever burdens we had If we just know to cast on Him all our worries He always there to help us and lastly to talk more bout how to thank HIm always even in a distress situation in life.

How does being forgiven increase ones love for God? Note: According to Jesus, God`s forgiveness is motivated by love.

Forgiveness is motivated by love. God loves us very dearly that no matter how sinful we are, He still forgives us through our faith in Jesus Christ. We, sinners, once forgiven increases our love for God to reciprocate the unconditional love that God has been giving us.
