Why do you think Jesus did not speak to Herod nor answer Pilate?

In my opinion, Herod and Pilate will ask questions which they ALREADY knew the answer. Two of them already heard many things about Jesus. They knows who Jesus is but why they still ask?? because they DONT believe. They dont believe what they heard that Jesus is Son of God and His miracles. Thats why we can see so many time Jesus will answer like this "So you say" when He been ask by Pharisees. Nowadays, many people already heard about Jesus but they still not believe. They asking question like this: "Is Jesus exist??" "Can He heals??" "Can He solved all my problems??". Like Herod and Pilate we still have doubt if Jesus really can do all that miracles. Some Christians today become 'unbelief believers'. - Mark 11:23-24.

How does Jesus want to care for the people of Jerusalem (Israel), and how do they respond?

Jesus cast out demons and perform cures today and tommorow, and the third day he complete his mission. He wanted to gather the children together, like a hen gathers her own brood under her wings, and they refused. They wanted him to be out from them and away and Herod wanted to kill him.

Jesus answers that to be saved, it is not enough for the person to know the Lord, rather the Lord needs to know the person. What does this mean?

The Lord knows who is the true worshipper who obey and follow His words and truth.
