Why did Jesus use the greeting. "Peace be to you"? Was there special signiificance in this greeting? Jesus said peace be to you to his disciples because He came here on earth as a living sacrifice to save us from our sins and now man have peace with Father GOD.

Why did Jesus use the greeting. "Peace be to you"? Was there special signiificance in this greeting? Because Jesus has died and no one believe that He will be risen on the 3rd day. So as not to shock his disciples to think that He is a ghost, Jesus use this greeting.
