We should then be thankful for His great suffering as a way to show how much He loved us, and He even though is God, would suffer in pain like how a normal man would feel. By showing us this ultimate sacrifice, we will then acknowledge His grace, love and greatness as a man of God. Why did Jesus´ penalty for "sin" need to include physical and emotional pain - why not just spiritual separation from God?

Why did Jesus´ penalty for "sin" need to include physical and emotional pain - why not just spiritual separation from God? The penalty of sin need to include physical and emotional pain because Jesus wants us to share his pain in his mystical body. Jesus said that in our pain, we would discover Him or rediscover Him (if you already know Him).

In your own words, write down what the phrase, "good news of God" means? The "good news of God" means the words of God and the strengthening of The Kingdom of God, his showering love, mercy and the promise of salvation for those who believe in Him. Its also mean the redemption of sinners who repent and follow God's teaching.
