5333 entries for this category: When answering John`s question about whether He was the Christ, why did Jesus point out the results of his ministry rather than just saying yes or no? Jesus wanted to prove to John that He is the Messiah but just saying yes or nor would not suffice. John was in prison and could not see Jesus personally, he had to rely on messsengers and word of mouth for his answer. It was better to have messengers and witnesses tell John firsst-hand about the miracles Jesus had performed so that John would believe.
