The Jesus whom I knew

I grew up in a sunday school learning about the life of Jesus. We had this song "Jesus loves me yes I know" and up to this day I still sing it. He was the son of Mary and Joseph. The prophecied son of God. He grew up in a typical family working as a carpenter. He followed the footsteps of his creator which made him gather disciples. There are a lot of details about Jesus but the most important fact was that he stood up for his faith when the Roman soldiers were seizing him. He died on the cross just to save us from our sins. And through it, we were granted salvation - a sure place near his father's throne. Three days after he rose again!Jesus is alive. He is living in you and in me. Have a blessed day.

Why did Jesus´ penalty for "sin" need to include physical and emotional pain - why not just spiritual separation from God?

Because it is human pain that he prove to God once he must supper to save us and be forgiven.

Why did the people ask Jesus to leave, even after He delivered the two demon-possessed men?

The people were scared and probably feared that more pigs and possessions would be lost if Jesus stayed and banished demons in them. In this way, they would lose their possessions, so they just asked Jesus to depart and leave them be.
