Jesus sends his disciples into the world for what purpose?

Jesus realised He need His diciples to spread the Good News to everyone especially the lost and unfortunates one. Jesus have compassion to those who are "sick" and need help rather than those who are rich.

Jesus knew His Father wants all His lost children to be found and save or they will be lamb without shepherd.

What point is Jesus making when He states "eternal life" is knowing the Father and Jesus Christ?

In the book of 1 John 5:11-12, it says, " This is testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son, has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.

This scripture clearly states that if you have Christ, you will have eternal life. Anyone who does not have Jesus will not have an eternal life.

Therefore when you failed to have a relationship with the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ, you will not have an eternal life.
