Why did Jesus invest so much in Peter even though He knew that Peter would deny Him? Jesus knew that Peter would become a great disciple in the years to come. Peter's denying Jesus thrice is a human act of weakness and failing which Jesus easily forgave.

Why did Jesus invest so much in Peter even though He knew that Peter would deny Him? Because Jesus looks at the heart of Peter and He know from the start that Peter will be a great leader. One incident in the Bible Jesus asks Peter like this, who am I? and Peter answered immediately that Jesus is the son of God. Peter believes that Jesus is trully our saviour, and Jesus chooses Him bec. He is a fisherman and He became fishers of man in the book of Acts when He recieved the power of the Holy Spirit.
