5333 entries for this category: People who do good to his neighbors and brags about it lacks love in doing it, what he wants is praise and approval of other people. He lacks sincerity in his action. Whereas, if you do good to your neighbors and you are low profile, God sees the good things you are doing and He will bless you and repay you. Everyone who humbles himself will be exalted, those who do things and favor on their fellows secretly. Those who follow God's will and humbled themselves in private, those were the people who will be exalted by God in the appointed time. While those who show off their doings and boastfully appear before their neighbors will be humbled by God. What does Jesus mean that "Everyone who exalts himself will be humbled and whoever humbles himself will be exalted"?

What does Jesus mean that "Everyone who exalts himself will be humbled and whoever humbles himself will be exalted"? Whosoever exalteth ... - This is universal among people, and it is also the way in which God will deal with people. “Men” will perpetually endeavor to bring down those who endeavor to exalt themselves; and it is a part of God’s regular plan to abase the proud, to bring down the lofty, to raise up those that be bowed down, and show “his” favors to those who are poor and needy.Precedent of Our Lord Christ: He takes upon him the form of a servant, comes not to be ministered to, and waited upon, but to minister, and wait to be gracious. We can see also in Mat.10:24; Mar.10:44 and Joh.15:20
