The transfiguration of Jesus is the divine confirmation that Jesus is the Son of God and the presence of the prophets Moses and Elijah proves the eternity of Gods kingdom . In such divine presence anyone too will be transfigured forever in spirit and in faith in God

"Who saves his life will loose it"refers to those who adhered to the earthly ways of life and sin, will lose it as he will not be saved. "who looses his life for my sake and the gospel, will be saved " means those who gave up a life that follows the ways of the world and its sins and instead follow Jesus and the life of righteousness according to the gospel, will be saved.
