jesus could be telling that God, who created this world and everything in it, encluding the 12 tribes of israel , would provide to his children no matter what , God always keeps his promise and those who rely on him will always be very well taken care of.

What is Jesus trying to teach his disciples?

jesus is teaching the disciples that if they have faith the cn do miracles in his name by the power of the holy spirit.he is also telling them that they should not rely on themselves in anything that they do for if they were working by faith God will provide for everyone in any situation.

How does Jesus respond to people who desperately seek him?

jesus responds with great love and compassion towards all who seek him, never turns anyone away , of course jesus also shows great compassion towards all mankind even those who do not seek him, for jesus knows all everyone in this world and jesus also knows the needs of everyone and jesus provides everyone according to what is best for them.
