Why was all of Jerusalem troubled about the birth of Jesus?

They were all troubled because it was predicted by the prophets that a great King, King of the Jews, would be born in Bethlehem. It was also said that the government shall be on His shoulder. It was Herod's fear of the rival King that caused a cause of conern in Jerusalem. Being a cruel, unscrupulos depot he was fearful and worried of losing his reign in Palestine.
