How does Jesus want to care for the people of Jerusalem (Israel), and how do they respond?

Jesus shows tenderness for God's ancient nation (Jerusalem) and the childrens by trying to gather them together, like a hen gathers her own chicks under her wings. Jesus' recollection of Jerusalem's past sins does not lead him to spiteful accusations, but rather to a heartfelt lament because the israelites klled some prophets and tortured the holy ones who went there to make peace, by throwing stones at them.

Jesus want to care for the Israel but they refused His love jesus said Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord we have blessed you from the house of the Lord.
