What was the focus of this small groups` activity before the unusual events occurred?

The two men who appeared in glory spoke of his departure which would be accomplished in Jerusalem. Jesus knew everything in advance, therefore he took his three disciples, Peter, James and John with him. This small group activity enabled Peter, James and John to truely understand that Jesus is the Son of God through the voice they heard from within the clouds.
