Jesus proved to john that Jesus was the Messiah predicted by the propht Isaiah.The voice of one crying in the widerness prepare the way of the Lord make His paths stright .Every valley be filled and every mountain and hill brought low the crooked placesshall be made stright and all flesh shall see the salvation of God.and John is going to baptizeto Jesus the voice came from heaven He is my beloved Son i am happy happy with him.

What do you find astonishing about this centurion (leader of Roman soldiers)?

What I find astonishing about the centurion is the faith that he had in Jesus. He said to Jesus, "Lord, don't trouble yourself for I am not worthy for you to come under my roof". He believed firmly that if jesus only said a word was enough for his servant to be healed.
