Why were fulfillment of prophecies important? "note: Jesus predicted his death and resurrection? "...saying that the Son of Man must be delivered up into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again...". There are also many accounts in the old testament describing the death and resurrection of the Messiah hundreds to thousands of years before the event. Because if the prophecys were fufilled it means that what he said was true and we can be assured of eternal life.

Why do you think Jesus did not speak to Herod nor answer Pilate? Because whatever he said it wouldnt of changed thier minds as he knew what had to happen.
