Why does Jesus describe to his disciples how disobedient, ignorant and lazy servants are punished by their master, and how obedient, alert and active servants are given greater authority?

The lord of the servants has a rules of law in his kingdom and if the servants disobey the law it is naturaly given a penalty or punishment rather they are ignorant or lazy, the master is trying to explain to prepare always themselves in time of needs, Lord Jesus is telling his disciples to be always prepared or us to be always prepared for the second coming of the christ.
