What do you learn about Jesus, asking one of the most disliked men in town to become his follower?

What I learned about JESUS, asking one of the most disliked men in town to become HIS follower, is that JESUS was not dealing with the question of righteous people which HE refered to the Pharisees who thought that they are righteous and don't need repentance as they were self righteous. JESUS asked Levi to follow HIM because HE knew that Levi needed to be saved.

Why did Jesus forgive the man`s sins first, and heal afterward?

JESUS forgive the man's sins first and healed afterward, because JESUS was giving an important Clue to HIS IDENTITY. Luke 5:24 stated; But that ye may know that THE SON OF MAN HAVE POWER UPON EARTH TO FORGIVE SINS.

Why did Jesus heal by touching the man with leprosy (a contageous disease)?

JESUS healed the man with leprosy by touching him because it was meant to be a "Testimony" to the verifying priests, causing them to recognize that THE MESSIAH was among them (Israel). In addition, according to Leviticus 14, the priests had to verify a leper healing. Curing a leper was considered very. difficult
