What does the miracle of multiplying bread and fish tell us about Jesus?

Another miracle that reinforces the other signs that he is the son of God. But most of all pointing to the fact that he will give the whole of himself to each one in the Mystery of the Eucharist, the shedding of His Blood and shredding of his Body to Nourish all. What lessons did the disciples learn as a result of encountering Jesus in the middle of the lake?

They are in the middle of the lake, in the middle the midst of despair and when they see Jesus from the distance they express their willinghness to be helped by him and so their faith. Which immediately pulls them to the shore.
