If Jesus wanted to change or influence a person, what would he target?

For people don't gather figs from thorns, nor do they gather grapes from a bramble bush. Each has their unique talents and Godgiven quaities and the Master places us wehre we can bera most fruit in the right ground. Trimming what needs trimming and feeding the good. Its a holistic healing targeting hand. Freely paraphrasing that same book: Jesus of Nazareth. One was a tax collector, some fishermen, Luke was related to high priests i seem to remember. Each in his own ground and vocation. All rooted in God.

Did Jesus judge others? Note: Jesus demonstrated emphathic listening to a broken hurting person, while still calling that person to certain behavior.

If judgeing means condemning, the answer is no. We condemn ourselves when rejecting God by rejecting His Son. He shows us the way and gives us the Compass, Himself. His example. The Household has God given rules given to us via our ancestors. We sometimes disobey. There is right and there is wrong. The right and the wrong path and Jesus calls the flock on the right one which is the path of healing and salvation. If we refuse to follow, we are feeling judged condemned but we are only refusing to heed the alerting call. We harbor negative felings. We are sorrowing the Father and opposingh other, our or the worlds parametser, as measuring tools and indicators that direct our human steps. Not judgeing aslo in the sense of condemning. On the basis of the speck in the others eye to denye the beam in ours.It is not up to us to close the Gates and say who can and who cannot go in. We might very well be in need of Purgatorial fire but Gods arm is always stretched...again Jesus of Nazareth...one arm is the Holy Spirit and the other Jesus. Both pulling us towards the bosom of the Father. With Mary intercession...i like to think of the confessional box as her protective mantel under which we can meet Jesus in the intimacy of an uplifting friendship..cleansing us to sonship.
