Why did Jesus answer their question with a question? Why didn`t he just say that his authority came from God?

he wants them to think. Ife they give the right answer, heaven, they move to the next level of understanding. Thinking of the OT, the Baptism in Spirit. Though, there, i do not think there is any reference to the Baptism in water. In Spirit yes though. How did the scribes understand Mary's conceiving of Jesus? hers, was in a way, the first Baptism via the descent of the Holy Spirit. And she was the Baptismal fount too. Washing oneself in water prior a function in the temple was probably part of the required preparation. Why written in the OT if not coming from God?

Jesus was angered by religious people inappropriately taking people`s money (robber`s den). Why did Jesus take such dramatic action and not just condemn with words?

It was a house 4 the lord and it was so pose to be the house of prayer and a temple 4 the lord.

Jesus knew he would be killed in Jerusalem, and still he led the way. What characteristics does Jesus demonstrate here?

Faith. In all. All he prophetised. The disciples feared the mocking and calvary and did not seem to have faith in the promised resurrection.
