Why is it signficant that Jesus fulfilled what was predicted hundreds of years before? Note: Mark refers to the old Scriptures from the Prophet Isaiah (chapter 53) "He poured out his soul unto death, And He was numbered with the transgressors, And he bore the sins of many." Isaiah 53 contains many more matches to events in Jesus` life.

The Roman governor, Pilate, found that Jesus had done nothing wrong. Yet, he authorized Jesus` crucifixion to please the crowd. Can you explain why people put popularity above doing what is right? The Pilate authorized Jesus's crucifixion to the people because he was afraid because the Jews crowd threatened to report him to Caeser (John 19:12). And such report could cause him his position and hope for advancement, he forgot that promotion and influence comes from God so he was only concerned about earthly position. Matthrew 6:33, says we should seek first the kingdom of God and every all other thing will be added to us, may God help us to do His will, amen.
