Jesus value everybody, the bible says that GOD does not treat people differently.  Jesus came for the poor and hungry. By poor and hungry, I see it more as a parabole, and this probably means that he came for those that are seeking to enrich themself spiritually and reconnect to the creator - GOD - that is why Jesus was preaching about his father kingdom.

The poor and needy were the center of Jesus miracles, signs and wonders and we see him feeding the poor, healing the sick, etc. This shows that he cared mostly about them as they had physical and spiritual needs.  The rich were also his concern because he says that it is more difficult for a rich to enter the heaven kingdom for they concentrate mostly on the material wealth rather than on feedign their spirit.
