In private I'm encouraged to be honest with God, sharing with Him everything I am and feel and think, because He sees it anyway, and because it helps me incredibly to have a Father who listens to everything I say, and never rejects me. In public I'm encouraged to be careful in my use of words, never, ever being showy or preachy, but always seeking to honestly connect with God in a way that means something for others. It means I must be humble, speaking because I must connect with God, rather than because I want to impress others with my holiness. And my words must always be easy to understand, helping not hindering others. Prayer
