New meanings to terms

This is inspiring stuff! Didn`t know that Messiah could mean set apart and prohet and so on, aswell as saviour. It`s like all the prophets were messiahs but the one referred to in prophecies in the Old Testament is Jesus. Didn`t know crucifixion could be without nails, so Jesus may have died by ropes. Didn`t know Jesus name means God saves. Didn`t know Sadduccees believed only law. Unsure about demons being powers rather than demons. What would this mean if they`re power? I understand them all as fallen angels. Son of Man = human ''Jesus said this of himself 88 times'' Son of David = Jewish Son of God = he`s God This is a very helpful explanation.

New knowledge

Learnt lots of new stuff today. Esp that formal education went to 18 years of age. I`m sceptical of the small height statement of Jews at that time. I wonder if that is right, as many in the Middle East are big, strong and tall. I was suprised that men typically had long hair. Very interesting things. The houses were two rooms with small arched doorways. All very interesting.
