God says that as long as we do our best he will make us achieve success. With a road history like mine, but with the help of God, this sounds worthwhile. If Jesus was at dinner with morally upright religious leaders today, what might he say they are doing wrong? He would say to them not to rely on their own ability to interprete what is best for all but to rely on Jesus Christ.

Did Jesus feel he had performed enough miracles (signs) to convince the people to follow or listen to Jesus Yes, Jesus was referring to how some of us do not act in accordance with his teachings or signs no matter how convincing his message.
