The bible teaches us that marriage is a lifelong union between one man with one woman. As the idea of covenant is a bibical concept used to describe the relationship between God and His people, and defined as an unchageable, divinely imposed legal argreement between God and man, so is the vows taken between man and woman in marriage.Malachi 2:13-16, gives us a good insight into the how God feels about divorce. Both man and woman stipulated in their vows, before God to be faithfull to each other, whatever the situation they may find themsleves in.We must understand that the covenant between God and man cannot be changed or negotiated to suit man, for our God has Honoured His side of the covenant by having faith in us, it is for us to honour our side of the deal by doing His will. Mark 10: 6- 9 give us a good indication of what is expected of us in marriage, and verse 9, I find to be one of great significance, " What therfore God has joined together, let no man seperate." Divorce is not only a violation of Gods original plan for marriage, but it also violates the marriage covenant to which the Lord is witness. URL: http://www.jesuscentral.com/

 | How is gazing with lust like adultery? |
Jesus taught His disciples who listened to His sermon on the mount to be righteous. In verse 27, Jesus told them, " You have heard that it was said, Do Not Commit Adultery." In verse 28 Jesus told His disciples, " But I am indeed saying to you that everyone who looks at a woman to want her has already committed adultery with her in his heart." Jesus Was teaching a deeper moral principle of the sixth commandment. Sexual thoughts and desires for someone other than a spouse violate the sixth commandment, just as well as sexual relations outside marriage do.God wants our thoughts and deeds to be Holy. To avoid falling into this type of situations we need to avoid immoral thoughts and desires, and pray seeking a pure heart. As David did after falling to the sin, of lust, he prayed, "create in me a pure heart, O God; and renew an upright spirit within me." | Why does Jesus speak so strongly against anger? |
It is in a moment of anger that we are at our most vulnerable, to the forces of evil. When Jesus spoke of anger He knew that the extremities of anger was murder, He also knew the law Of Moses, while it protected the accidental homocide, defined with additional strickness the crime of murder. It was prohibited to take refuge in the refuge city or even at the alter of Jehovah. The penalty for murder was usually called "revengers blood". The fact, that because not just one life is lost, but two in the process to justify the penalty for murder, upsetted Jesus deeply, for they were both Gods Creations and only God should have the final and ultimate say in judgement. Jesus strongly emphasises the point that we should have a clear spirit/heart before we sacrifice our gifts at the alter, the most likely reason for this, would be to put a stop to any futher disruptions to ones life through anger. (while the problem is of a small stature, lets get it fixed through The Power of Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.) URL: http://www.jesuscentral.com/
