1025 entries for this category: How do you think Peter felt after his discussion with Jesus? Jesus appeared to the disciples at the Sea of Tiberias. (Tiberias description - means good vision). It ties in with Jesus singleling out Simon Peter for a couple of reasons, a) Simon, meaning that hears, that obeys. b) He denied Christ 3 times. c) He had seen Jesus twice already after the resurrection & was still not convinced/lacked faith. d) His fishing took precedence over his discipleship. Simon Peter must have felt grieved in his heart when Jesus asked him 3 times "Do you love me?" for he had erred & strayed. On the brighter side Simon Peter would have been happy that Jesus loved, understood and trusted him. Jesus had faith in Simon Peter and entrusted him with carrying out His work as a disciple.

this is just a thought and not really a question. I noticed Simon Peter, denied Christ 3 times, that Jesus was entomed and rose on the 3rd day and it took, until He revealed Himslef for the 3rd time before His disciples to start growing in faith again. Please correct me if Ive erred! This is just a though and input into it would be greatly appreciated. Simon Peter denied Christ 3 times, after Jesus crucifixion He rose on the 3rd day, and Jesus revealed Himslef to His disciples for the 3rd time, before they started growing in faith again,( namely Simon Peter)

Why do you think Jesus chose to appear to the disciples in this way? Jesus chose to appear to His disciples this way to :( a). fulfill what He had said earlier on in His Ministry whilst gathering men to be His disciples, Matthew 4:19 Then He said, "Follow me and I will make you fishers of men."( b). To reinforce the disciples faith(as noticed Peter did not reconised the Lord) (c). and to prove beyond doubt that He was Lord and He was Alive.
