Father the time has come for you to bring glory to your son, in order that he may bring glory to you. I have given myself completely for their sake, ''Jesus christ disciples'' so that they can belong completely to the truth. Father, I want everyone you have given me to be with me, whereever I am. Then they will see the glory of God. Jesus told us what God is like and that his people will love one another. I believe God was present giving images of his son`s horrific death. Jesus asked his father, Father, if you will, please don`t make me suffer, by having a to drink from this cup but do what you want and not what I want. ''which is the will of God''. I think this may be a perfectly human response to a situation that was horror. I think Satan would have been in Gethsemane trying to entice Jesus out of his mission, to die for his disciples; past, present and future. For our grace, jesus christ died on the cross, was entombed, descended to hell, where he conquered Satan, sin and death so that his disciples will have eternal life and not perish. His 11 disciples at Gethsemane let him down, by sleeping and not praying. Jesus Christ now had to depend on the strength of God, who would desert him for a moment, only to fulfill scripture, that Jesus Christ was the messiah of the christians. That a new covenant of love would be formed for his disciples. In the end, the only person you can depend on, is God almighty, Jesus Christ and the holy spirit. By: sharron hill Category: My Blog |
