Luke 13: A man had been growing a fig tree for 3 years and it beared no fruit. Another gardner said, Master, leave it for another year. I`ll care for it by digging around it and putting manure on it. Maybe it will have figs on it next year, if not cut it down. To me it means to me God gives second chances and gives everything for people to come to him. Have faith in Jesus Christ, holy spirit and Jehovah/Yahweh and you will be safe. Do not loose your faith or God will chop you down and throw you into the fire. The children know Jesus Christ by his voice and follow him and Jesus Christ gives them time to repent and follow him.
Matthew 21: The second fig tree parable has more dire consequences. When Jesus Christ is hungry and finds no fruit on the tree, he curses and the fig tree withers before his disciples eyes. This means to me that if Jesus Christ comes to you and you have not beared fruit of faith and spirit; love, happiness, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness and self control. Jesus Christ will say I did not know you and leave you for the eternal fire. Jesus Christ says to be aware and ready for when he comes like a thief in the night. Make sure you are clothed, have lamp oil ''faith'' and are ready to go. By: sharron hill Category: My Blog |
