Jesus teaches us to love.
Ive learned through his teachings of bible and guidance of the holy ghost in my daily life - to love your enemies and see them also as children of god.  I try not to judge them(this is not easy) and love them more.  Its amazing how someone full of anger or hate can change when you look at them with love.

Why does Jesus call Love One Another a New commandment?

He calls it a new commandment, but He is actually bringing attention to and simplify the Ten Commandments. LOVE.

As men we tend to stuggle with rules and such, Jesus is only trying to make it simple for us.

If you Love your wife, you won't commit adultry.

If you love... you won't lie

If you love... you will treat others as you would yourself.

Basically if you were to follow this new Commandment, you will be obeying the old Commandments

Loving One Another is Very Difficult

Loving one another is very difficult especially when one is your enemy. But as a follower of Jesus, you need to do his commandment. You need to pray to Jesus for healing and to give you the courage to forgive. Let go of everything and offer your "baggage" that you carry to Jesus. Pray for that person and try your best to have compassion for that person. It is very hard. I should know I am experiencing it right now.

I Believe
I think that God shows us the greatest lesson, when he washes the feet of his disciples, we should always treat other people the way that we hope that they would treat us. A smile from us could very well save a life!!!

LOVE MUST EXTEND TO OTHERS

God loves us so much that he commands us to love one another. This means that love is something that cannot be kept to oneself. It has to be extended to others. A person who loves will treat others in such a way that he expects similar treatment from them.By doing this there will certainly be harmony on earth.

God is love and he loved us first. Therefore, we need to ensure that Love prevails amongst us as this shows that we love God. I can not say that I love God if I can not show love to others. So the love is the greatest commandment.

'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.' "This is the great and foremost commandment. "And a second is like it, 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets." ( Matthew 22:37-40)

"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another." ( John 13:34-35)

"Whatever you want others to do for you, do so for them, for this is the Law and the Prophets." ( Matthew 7:12)

"But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return; and your reward in heaven will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High; for He Himself is kind to ungrateful and evil men." ( Luke 6:35)

"Whoever wishes to become great among you shall be your servant; and whoever wishes to be first among you shall be slave of all. For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve and to give His life a ransom for many." ( Mark 10:43-45)

"If I then, the Lord and the Teacher, washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet. For I gave you an example that you also should do as I did to you." ( John 13:14-15)
