Why does Jesus call Love One Another a New commandment?
its simple just like jesus loves us with all of his heart we should also do the same this is the new commandment because in the passed since it didnt exist people never thought or cared about loving another you would mostly hear people saying the word hate instead of love so its good for us to all love each other as brothers and sisters and stop hating

Why does Jesus call Love One Another a New commandment?
I don`t know why He calls it a new commandment.Unless maybe He was bringing something from the old testament into the new testament. So that He really wasn`t introducing a new concept but re-establishing an old one into the new testament???????????

Why does Jesus call Love One Another a New commandment?
Jesus loves each and every one of us. His show of that love is an example that all of His followers must strive to follow. To love one another was not a specific commandment, but Jesus showed us how it should be. We must always try to love our neighbors and one another. In order to truly follow Jesus and His teachings, we must show our love to others freely. Jesus set an example of how we can follow His way, and loving one another is part of that way.

Why does Jesus call Love One Another a New commandment?
Maybe because the focus in the days before his coming were more centred on obedience of the law in isolation without much focus on the aspect of human relations and the role of love. So it was new in that now the focus was to be on the meaning and importance of love as we strive to know God.

Why does Jesus call Love One Another a New commandment?
It is called a new commandment because the previous ones, if someone hates you , you arenot expected to love Him back. But the Lord doesnot work that way.He has to love us with no return, therefore, as Jesus`s deciples we should go along with this new rule, that we love one another, as he loved us.

'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.' "This is the great and foremost commandment. "And a second is like it, 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets." ( Matthew 22:37-40)

"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another." ( John 13:34-35)

"Whatever you want others to do for you, do so for them, for this is the Law and the Prophets." ( Matthew 7:12)

"But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return; and your reward in heaven will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High; for He Himself is kind to ungrateful and evil men." ( Luke 6:35)

"Whoever wishes to become great among you shall be your servant; and whoever wishes to be first among you shall be slave of all. For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve and to give His life a ransom for many." ( Mark 10:43-45)

"If I then, the Lord and the Teacher, washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet. For I gave you an example that you also should do as I did to you." ( John 13:14-15)
