Jesus never condoned sin. Jesus does not approve or sin. He died for the sins of mankind. If sin could have been condoned, He wouldn’t have died. The New Testament Bible teaches that the wages (salary, payment) for sin is death. It cannot be condoned but, rather, a price must be paid in death to nullify mankind’s sin. Jesus paid that price with His own death. However, Jesus did not condemn those who sinned. He offered them grace and freedom from sin by dying on the cross for the sins of the world. His redeeming blood paid the price for sin. The first chapter of the Gospel of John in the New Testament shows that Jesus came into the world to reveal the darkness of mankind – to shed His light on the sinful state of man. Sin cannot be hidden from God. He condemns sin but He does not condemn the sinner who turns to Him to receive His forgiveness. When the adulterous woman was caught in her sin, Jesus did not condone her act. He forgave her sin but asked her to sin no more: "And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn you: go, and sin no more." (John 8:2-11 NKJV). Click here for an article related to this topic. | Did Jesus condemn sin? |
Jesus condemned sin but He did not condemn the sinner. He did not condone sin. Sin separates man from God. It is because of mankind being separated from God by sin that Jesus died on the cross. He paid for the sins of mankind by His death on the cross of Calvary. In the Gospel of John, in the New Testament, we read the story an the adulterous woman who was caught in her sin – specifically, caught in adultery. Jesus did not condone her sinful act. But He did forgive it. The law condemned her sin and therefore people condemned her. But Jesus, did not condemn her, as we see in this verse in the Bible: "And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn you: go, and sin no more" (John 8:2-11 NKJV). Click here for an interesting article on this topic. The New Testament Bible shows that Jesus died on the cross for the sins of mankind, so that sin could be forgiven. Without the shedding of His blood, mankind would be perpetually condemned for his sinful acts. Because of Jesus death on the cross, those who choose to make Him their savior can be free from the condemnation of sin. Read here about how Jesus hates sin.

The New Testament Bible reveals that Jesus condemned stealing inasmuch as He condemned all sin. However; Jesus showed in His teaching that what a man thinks makes Him a sinner – not just what He does. Jesus condemned sin but loved the sinner. He died for the sins of mankind. Read this story to see what happened to Zacchaeus, the tax collector who stole from -- as seen in the Gospels in the New Testament Bible. When Jesus was dying on the cross, He also forgave the thief on one of the crosses next time Him. He did this because the thief recognized his own sin, and recognized that Jesus was without sin. | Did Jesus condemn prostitution? |
The New Testament Bible reveals that Jesus condemned prostitution inasmuch as He condemned all sin. However; Jesus showed in His teaching that what a man thinks makes Him a sinner – not just what He does. Jesus condemned sin but loved the sinner. He died for the sins of mankind. Read this story of Jesus’s encounter with a prostitute as seen in the Gospel of Luke in the New Testament Bible: Luke 7:36-50. 36 Then one of the Pharisees asked Him to eat with him. And He went to the Pharisee’s house, and sat down to eat. 37 And behold, a woman in the city who was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at the table in the Pharisee’s house, brought an alabaster flask of fragrant oil, 38 and stood at His feet behind Him weeping; and she began to wash His feet with her tears, and wiped them with the hair of her head; and she kissed His feet and anointed them with the fragrant oil. 39 Now when the Pharisee who had invited Him saw this, he spoke to himself, saying, “This Man, if He were a prophet, would know who and what manner of woman this is who is touching Him, for she is a sinner.” 40 And Jesus answered and said to him, “Simon, I have something to say to you.” So he said, “Teacher, say it.” 41 “There was a certain creditor who had two debtors. One owed five hundred denarii, and the other fifty. 42 And when they had nothing with which to repay, he freely forgave them both. Tell Me, therefore, which of them will love him more?” 43 Simon answered and said, “I suppose the one whom he forgave more.” And He said to him, “You have rightly judged.” 44 Then He turned to the woman and said to Simon, “Do you see this woman? I entered your house; you gave Me no water for My feet, but she has washed My feet with her tears and wiped them with the hair of her head. 45 You gave Me no kiss, but this woman has not ceased to kiss My feet since the time I came in. 46 You did not anoint My head with oil, but this woman has anointed My feet with fragrant oil. 47 Therefore I say to you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven, for she loved much. But to whom little is forgiven, the same loves little.” 48 Then He said to her, “Your sins are forgiven.” 49 And those who sat at the table with Him began to say to themselves, “Who is this who even forgives sins?” 50 Then He said to the woman, “Your faith has saved you. Go in peace.” (New King James Version). By: Editors Category: My Blog |

 | Did Jesus talk to prostitutes? |
According to the New Testament Bible, Jesus did talk to prostitutes. He had compassion on them because they were trapped in sin (in wrongdoing). He spoke to everyone. There is no type of person that was excluded. Since Jesus came to die for the sins (wrongdoing) of mankind, sin did not prevent Him from loving people. He loved all sinners, including prostitutes. Read here the story of Jesus with a prostitute as seen in the Gospel of Luke in the New Testament Bible: Luke 7:36-50. 36 Then one of the Pharisees asked Him to eat with him. | Did Jesus disregard authority, presuming himself to be higher? |
According the biography of Jesus as seen in the New Testament Gospels, Jesus did not disregard authority. He did however speak of a higher authority – His Father in Heaven. He obeyed first and foremost His authority. But this did not lead Him to disobey earthly authority although He did not bow down to some of the petty man-made religious rules created by the religious leaders. For example, He plucked corns of wheat on the Sabbath day and the religious leaders disagreed with this action, seeing it as religious insubordination. Jesus believed in submitting to the authorities and would thus have been an obedient citizen. However, Jesus was first and foremost a citizen of Heaven. He would have always obeyed His heavenly Father above all. He would never have honored something that went against the higher commandments of His heavenly Father. When a question about taxes was asked to Jesus, He miraculously plucked a coin out of a fish’s mouth and suggested that one should pay taxes. This was His famous statement on that subject: “Give to Ceasar what is Caesar’s and to God what is God’s”. By: Editors Category: My Blog |

 | Did Jesus pay taxes? |
According the biography of Jesus as seen in the New Testament Gospels, we find no precise record of Him paying taxes as such. However, He taught on obedience and would have obeyed the laws of the country. He believed in submitting to the authorities and would thus have paid taxes.

 | What happened to the clothes Jesus wore? |
When Jesus was crucified on the cross, according to the New Testament Gospels, the Roman soldiers cast lots (made bets) for His cloak. As for the bands of cloth that wrapped Jesus’s dead body, they were left in the tomb after He was resurrected. By: Editors Category: My Blog (1) Comments |

 | Did Jesus teach that children should remain silent? |
We see nothing in the New Testament Bible to suggest Jesus taught that children should remain silent. The character of love and compassion that Jesus displayed would suggest that He understood they needed to laugh, play, sing and would never have taught they should be confined to silence. This is what we know about Jesus with regards to children: Jesus loved children. At one time some children wanted to come to Him and the disciples (Jesus’s close followers) rebuked them and turned them away. Jesus said this of children in the New Testament Gospel of Mark: “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God.” (Mark 10:14, NKJV). In the New Testament Gospel of Matthew, Jesus said this of children: “Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kindom of heaven. And whoever receives one little child like this in My name receives me” (Matthew 18: 3, 4, 5, NKJV). When Jesus healed Jairus’s daughter, and brought her back to life when she was dead, He immediately asked for food for her. He loves children and cares for them deeply.
