Matthew 9:27-34 Why is faith so important when we ask Jesus to do something for us?
There is an interesting scripture in Hebrews where it says something like. Those that want to receive something from god must first believe that he exists and that god is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him. I think that is why it is important.

What made the woman`s faith so powerful? How does one obtain faith like the woman?
I think what he meant was that because she had faith she took action going to find Jesus and touching him. So Jesus healed her with the virtue/power inside of him.

Otherwise I am sure faith would be cruel and many would suffer for lack of it.

There is some power in faith but I dont know what it is.

Define Compassion?
Compass is to surround, ion is the extension signifying forever or in every way. So compassion means to surround in every way. Like with love, support, friendship, mercy. The word is not clinical but relational.

What did you learn about Jesus` background that stands out or surprises you?
Very much as it is today: The middle class was comprised of traders and merchants, artisans ''stonecutters, masons, sculptors'' and craftsman ''metal, wood, cloth dye''.

Why did the people ask Jesus to leave, even after He delivered the two demon-possessed men?
Could be lots of things but my vote is that the pigs were the economic livelihood for the city and they were destroyed

My Brief Summary of Jesus
Jesus who is God came to earth with a mission, was born of woman, lived a good life, developed some diciples, died for my sins on a cross, rose according to the scriptures and lives to make it possible so I will also live.

When Jesus said, it is finished, what did it refer to? That is, what was finished?
It likely meant a lot of things. such as: the pain is done, his mission was done, the offence done against him was at its fullest, the insult was over, etc...
