Well the scribes and the Pharisees thought that it was wrong for Jesus to be eating with the sinners and tax collectors But Jesus reacted to them by saying I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. The Lord is my Shepherd and I am his sheep. Psalm 23

How did Jesus behave in sharp contrast to how religious leaders acted?
By eating with the sinners and tax collectors, Jesus was setting a perfect example, with love and humility. This must have been mind-boggling to the scribes and Pharisees.

Religious leaders guarded their purity by living in isolation from the tax collectors and sinners, but Jesus ate and drank with them, with a view of calling them to repentence.

The Calling of Levi
I find that in those days the religious leaders were really fast people you could see they really had nothing good to do but make judgements for little things. Any way Jesus was the right person for them please don`t mash my foot person or i am going to tell you what you don`t want to hear. Jesus acted in the right way he give them the right answer to what they asked the disciples so he said i am not hear for and they so feel that were so righteous but sinners to repentance.

How did Jesus behave in sharp contrast to how religious leaders acted?
This was a sharp contrast to call levi and the tax collectors to follow Jesus. Jesus` s action with tax collectors and sinners was a contrast to the religoius leaders, however , Jesus told the religious leaders His mission on earth was to call sinners to repentance and not those who are reghteous. He also told the religoius leaders that those who are heathy do not need the physician but those who are sick. Therefore Borothers and Sisters , let us reach out to the sinners with the good news of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

How did Jesus behave in sharp contrast to how religious leaders acted?
They are righteousness claimers but Jesus acts proved that all have sinned and no one is worthy for the glory of God.Again, if you humble yourself to God He will eat with you, then why didn`t Jesus have His dinner with them? here there is no spirit of humbleness, meek infact they lacked many things for this reason Jesus illustrated to them what they surposed to do.

The Calling of Levi

He went out again by the seaside. All the multitude came to him, and he taught them. As he passed by, he saw Levi, the son of Alphaeus, sitting at the tax office, and he said to him, "Follow me." And he arose and followed him.
It happened, that he was reclining at the table in his house, and many tax collectors and sinners sat down with Jesus and his disciples, for there were many, and they followed him. The scribes and the Pharisees, when they saw that he was eating with the sinners and tax collectors, said to his disciples, "Why is it that he eats and drinks with tax collectors and sinners?"
When Jesus heard it, he said to them, "Those who are healthy have no need for a physician, but those who are sick. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance."
