How did Jesus equip his disciples for powerful work by taking away their material possessions?
By taking away their material possessions, the disciples had to put their complete faith in God. The only possession they had was a staff...staff representing God. For it is only He that can support us and help us on our way.

How did Jesus equip his disciples for powerful work by taking away their material possessions?
jesus first of all equips the disciples with his authority, without which they could have done nothing except spread the word.but jesus knew that we humans need more than just the word to believe.he also equips them with the holy spirit after his death.jesus asks the disciples to give up all their belongings for them to depend fully upon God.God will provide for all their needs, and is it not easier to believe someone you can identify with?if they traveled as kings people would have found it difficult to believe in them who are living comfortably while they suffer.

How did Jesus equip his disciples for powerful work by taking away their material possessions?
Hello dear friends, I think Jesus never wanted the disciples to think of any other thing that would distruct them on the way to the mission. So was trainning them and on top of that he had given them authority to do miracles meaning that incase they would want food still they would do such a miracle. The issue hear is having the authority in Jesus you can change and create whatever you.So he didn`t want them to get distructed on the way by the worldly things and perhaps along the way Simon Peter would tell his friends to let him keep the wallet and be in charge of finance hence distructing the mission the went to.

How did Jesus equip his disciples for powerful work by taking away their material possessions?
The equipement started by calling His disciples telling them as it was written in the book of Matthiew 16:19. 18:18. Mark 16:17-18.6;8 He wants to take away their heart from earthly things so as to consantrate with the Good News of God. He taugth them on how to pray, with this KEY of binding demons is terms to be the greatest KEY and spiritual formation He gave them. This does not mean that A man of God will be Idle no, you must fixed yourself somewhere so as not to depend fully on what will comes out from your beloved, for it you really on them some ones may thought that the man od God is explioting them You must engedge to a work which will enable you to do the work of your father. If you can see ''they'' or the disciples are not naked, at least clothed. So child of God fixe yourself somewhere.

JESUS Sends Out the Twelve

When JESUS sent out the twelve deciples HE sent them out without any thing of value or materialisted items.  HE sent them to preach GOD'S WORD of repentance and healing the sick, and casting out evil spirits.  Their main objective was GODS work not having to keep up with neccesities things that will weigh you down.  Their mission was to let others know about GOD and all that they can receive if they only believe and follow JESUS.

Jesus Sends Out the Twelve

He went around the villages teaching. He called to himself the twelve, and began to send them out two by two; and he gave them authority over the unclean spirits. He charged them that they should take nothing for their journey, except a staff only: no bread, no wallet, no money in their purse, but to wear sandals, and not put on two tunics. He said to them, "Wherever you enter into a house, stay there until you depart from there. Whoever will not receive you nor hear you, as you depart from there, shake off the dust that is under your feet for a testimony against them. Assuredly, I tell you, it will be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city!"
They went out and preached that people should repent. They cast out many demons, and anointed many with oil who were sick, and healed them.
