Why was the king so angry when those invited did not come to the wedding banquet? What point was Jesus making with this parable?
The king was angry because he had prepared a feast for his friends, and they rejected him. Many preparations were made, invitations sent out, and still his subjects did not come. The king expected his friends to come and enjoy the feast he had offered, and was angry when they killed those sent to bring them to the feast. I believe Jesus` point was that, many are invited to the Kingdom of God ''feast'', yet many choose not to recieve what is offered to them. Those who are expected to come to the kingdom often do not, but others will gladly join in the Kingdom of Heaven. All people are welcome to join in God`s love, but those who choose to not answer God`s call will suffer.

Why was the king so angry when those invited did not come to the wedding banquet? What point was Jesus making with this parable?
Jesus was angry and is still angry even today because he clearly taught about the kingdom of God and He is still saying the same today through the Holy Spirit that all believers and followers of Jesus are sent to preach the good news about the kingdom of God but the people does not want to come to Him. Because of sin, man is not worthy to the kingdom of God, however, Jesus is inviting all whether bad or good. In other ways, Jesus` call to repentance and proclaimnation of His word is for all. Jesus` main point on this parable is that many are called but few are chosen. We should all wear the cloth of reghteouness, peace and joy in order to be accepted into the kingdom of God.

Why was the king so angry when those invited did not come to the wedding banquet? What point was Jesus making with this parable?
Jesus was saying that he invited everyone to the Kingdome of heaven freely, but no one wants to go there. The ones that decide to take up his offer, some of them are not real or true about it. Its a show for them.. Those are the ones that will be refused..Not everyone who is a christian will make it to the Kingdom of heaven

The king was so angry because the people rejected his invitation for no just reasons. They even beat and killed his servants. Jesus was describing, excatly what the Kingdom of God is like. Many people are invited to enjoy eternal life, but not all will accept or be chosen. Some will even beat and kill the servants of God, as happened to Jesus and His discples, and as it is happening in many parts of the world today.

Why was the king so angry when those invited did not come to the wedding banquet? What point was Jesus making with this parable?
Jesus came and His people reject Him because, for one reason or the other, they refused to accept Him. Today, there are many churches around preaching the word of God, inviting people to come and accept Jesus free of charge. But, instead, preferred to go on their ways. For He said for as many as believed in Him He gave power to become the son of God. So Jesus is giving a warning notice to everybody to come to the Father before it too late.

Why was the king so angry when those invited did not come to the wedding banquet? What point was Jesus making with this parable?
The King was angry because he was giving people an opportunity to share in his happiness ''the wedding of his son'' and they refused which meant in reality that they did not wish the King and his son well. The point that Jesus was making was that those who had the opportunity to repent and therefor be assured of everlasting life through Him were rejecting Him and all He stood for. The uninvited guests are the gentiles who were more receptive to the message Jesus was preaching than His own people.

Why was the king so angry when those invited did not come to the wedding banquet? What point was Jesus making with this parable?
The invited guests were the Israelites. They were given God`s message and they chose to mock and kill the prophets. The people from the highways are the Gentiles. The message is now in their ''our'' hands. We have to wear the garment provided in God`s word. Else we will find ourselves thrown into outer darkness.

The Parable of the Wedding Banquet

Jesus answered and spoke again in parables to them, saying, "The Kingdom of Heaven is like a certain king, who made a marriage feast for his son, and sent out his servants to call those who were invited to the marriage feast, but they would not come. Again he sent out other servants, saying, 'Tell those who are invited, "Behold, I have made ready my dinner. My oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready. Come to the marriage feast!"' But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his own farm, another to his merchandise, and the rest grabbed his servants, and treated them shamefully, and killed them. When the king heard that, he was angry, and sent his armies, destroyed those murderers, and burned their city.
"Then he said to his servants, 'The wedding is ready, but those who were invited weren't worthy. Go therefore to the intersections of the highways, and as many as you may find, invite to the marriage feast.' Those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together as many as they found, both bad and good. The wedding was filled with guests. But when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man who didn't have on wedding clothing, and he said to him, 'Friend, how did you come in here not wearing wedding clothing?' He was speechless. Then the king said to the servants, 'Bind him hand and foot, take him away, and throw him into the outer darkness; there is where the weeping and grinding of teeth will be.' For many are called, but few chosen."
