The following verses from the Gospels show that Jesus is God and worthy of our worship:  "I and the Father are one" (John 10:30).

"Hear O Israel: the Lord our God, the Lord is one" (Mark 12:29).

"Jesus said: "All things have been handed over to me by my Father; and no one knows who the Son is except the Father, or who the Father is except the Son and anyone to whom the Son chooses to reveal him"" (Luke 10:22).

"Jesus said: "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me"" (John 14:6).

Nobody is worthy of our worship except Jesus. Jesus is the only one we should worship because Jesus is God`s only Son who died and rose again so that we might know the Father (John 3:16).

In John`s Gospel, chapter 4, Jesus spoke to the Samaritan woman and said to her, "Woman, believe me, the hour comes, when neither in this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, will you worship the Father. You worship that which you don`t know. We worship that which we know; for salvation is from the Jews. But the hour comes, and now is, when the true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father seeks such to be his worshippers. God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth."
