马可所著的耶稣传记——安息日的主 耶稣当安息日，从麦地经过。他门徒行路的时候，掐了麦穗。 (2:23) 法利赛人对耶稣说，看哪，他们在安息日为什么作不可作的事呢？ (2:24) 耶稣对他们说，经上记着大卫和跟从他的人，缺乏饥饿之时所作的事，你们没有念过吗？ (2:25) 他当亚比亚他作大祭司的时候，怎么进了神的殿，吃了陈设饼，又给跟从他的人吃。这饼除了祭司以外，人都不可吃。 (2:26) 又对他们说，安息日是为人设立的，人不是为安息日设立的。 (2:27) 所以人子也是安息日的主 (2:28) 耶稣又进了会堂。在那里有一个人枯干了一只手。 (3:1) 众人窥探耶稣，在安息日医治不医治，意思是要控告耶稣。 (3:2) 耶稣对那枯干一只手的人说，起来，站在当中。 (3:3) 又问众人说，在安息日行善行恶，救命害命，那样是可以的呢？他们都不作声。 (3:4) 耶稣怒目周围看他们，忧愁他们的心刚硬，就对那人说，伸出手来。他把手一伸，手就复了原。 (3:5) 法利赛人出去，同希律一党的人商议，怎样可以除灭耶稣。 (3:6) 马可 2:23-37

Lord of the Sabbath
It happened that he was going on the Sabbath day through the grain fields, and his disciples began, as they went, to pluck the ears of grain. The Pharisees said to him, "Behold, why do they do that which is not lawful on the Sabbath day?" He said to them, "Did you never read what David did, when he had need, and was hungry--he, and those who were with him? How he entered into the house of God when Abiathar was high priest, and ate the show bread, which is not lawful to eat except for the priests, and gave also to those who were with him?" He said to them, "The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath. Therefore the Son of Man is lord even of the Sabbath." He entered again into the synagogue, and there was a man there who had his hand withered. They watched him, whether he would heal him on the Sabbath day, that they might accuse him. He said to the man who had his hand withered, "Stand up." He said to them, "Is it lawful on the Sabbath day to do good, or to do harm? To save a life, or to kill?" But they were silent. When he had looked around at them with anger, being grieved at the hardening of their hearts, he said to the man, "Stretch out your hand." He stretched it out, and his hand was restored as healthy as the other. The Pharisees went out, and immediately conspired with the Herodians against him, how they might destroy him. Mark 2:23-3:6
